Nearly 7,000 invitees, including politicians, industrialists, celebrities and sports personalities, will attend the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony, which is expected to begin at 12.20pm.
The ceremony will also be streamed live around the world for millions of devotees.
Following the ceremony, the Prime Minister will address the gathering at the venue.
Here is the full schedule of events planned for January 22:
10:25am: PM Modi will arrive in Ayodhya. From the airport, he will take a chopper to the venue.
10:55am: PM Modi will reach the Ram Mandir venue.
11am-12pm: One hour is scheduled for the Prime Minister at the temple during which he might take a tour of the premises.
12:05pm-1pm: The Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) will begin with PM Modi presiding over the rituals.
1pm: PM Modi will depart the temple premises to address a public meeting
2:10pm: PM Modi will visit Kuber ka Tila, where the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.
A series of rituals were performed over the last 7 days in the lead up to the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony. According to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the following rituals were performed during the 7 days:
January 16: Prayaschita and Karmakuti Poojan
January 17: Parisar Pravesh of the Murti
January 18 (Evening): Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, and Gandhadhivas
January 19 (Morning): Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas
January 19 (Evening): Dhanyadhivas
January 20 (Morning): Sharkaradhivas, Phaladhivas
January 20 (Evening): Pushpadhivas
January 21 (Morning): Madhyadhivas
January 21(Evening): Shaiyadhivas
Meanwhile, ahead of the grand temple opening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a series of temples in south India having a deep link to the Ramayana.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister, who announced an 11-day Anushthan ahead of the consecration, completed his spiritual journey to temples by worshipping at a Lord Ram shrine near Arichal Munai, where he prayed and paid floral tributes at seashore.
Marking completion of his visits to temples ahead of the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, PM Modi performed pooja and had darshan at the Sri Kothandaramaswamy temple, which is on the way towards Dhanushkodi and Arichal Munai, from where Sri Lanka is a stone’s throw away.
