The entire village got inundated because of the heavy rainfall and a local stream overflowing.
People perched themselves on trees and got on to roof-tops to save themselves.
The NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) shifted several people to safety at different places in the state affected by the heavy rain.
In Khammam district, the NDRF is trying to rescue seven people who got washed away because of the flooding caused by the Munneru river.
The affected people made videos showing their plight and sought to be rescued.
The temple town of Bhadrachalam is also facing the brunt of the heavy rains as the Godavari water levels have crossed the second danger level mark.
People living in some of the low-lying colonies which got inundated were shifted to safer places and relief camps.
The Godavari water level reached 49.10 ft at 3 pm on Thursday.
Transport minister P Ajay Kumar said it was possible that by Friday evening, the water level could reach 55 ft.
As many as 25 villages were evacuated in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on account of the danger posed by the overflowing water of the Godavari.
People from another 18 villages were also evacuated.
The entire precincts of the Bhadrachalam temple were submerged due to the water.
Relief camps have also been set up in Khammam district for people who were evacuated from low-lying areas.
The Munneru river which is in spate has caused inundation in several villages.
Several roads got cut off and police and revenue authorities barricaded roads leading to villages which were inundated.
A pregnant woman, aged people and several families were also shifted to safety in Rajanna Sircilla district.
In Saidpur mandal in Karimnagar district, officials evacuated children from a residential institution.
Several houses have got submerged in Jammikunta town and people are being evacuated.
The state government which had declared a holiday for educational institutions on Wednesday and Thursday announced that Friday also would be a holiday.
For the last one week, Telangana districts have been suffering the brunt of the heavy rain.
The forecast is that several districts will get heavy rainfall in the next three days.
There was heavy damage to the roads in Suryapet, Karimnagar, Kamareddy, Warangal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Rajanna Sircilla, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
