The posters displayed in the photos shared by Australia Today contained the message, “Canada investigates the role of India in the June 18th assassination.”
The video that captured the incident has gone viral on several social media platforms. The video shows two masked men, pasting posters and taking pictures before fleeing the location.
The poster on the temple gate referred to and also had the picture of Khalistan Tiger Force chief and designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in June this year.
Meanwhile, this is not the first incident, as there have been multiple attacks on Hindu temples in Canada by Khalistani extremists throughout this year. In April, the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Windsor, Ontario, was subjected to vandalism, with anti-India graffiti being spray-painted on its premises.
In February this year, the Ram Mandir located in Mississauga, Canada, was also targeted. The vandals wrote anti-India messages on the walls of the temple. The Consulate General of India in Toronto strongly condemned this act and urged Canadian authorities to investigate and take appropriate action against those responsible.
In January, a Hindu temple in Brampton experienced a distressing incident when it was defaced with anti-India graffiti, causing significant outrage within the Indian community. The Consulate General of India in Toronto denounced the defilement of the Gauri Shankar Mandir and expressed deep concern about its impact on the sentiments of the Indian community in Canada.
