People engaging in risky stunts on public roads to create content for social media platforms is a concerning trend that has emerged in India lately. In the pursuit of mere likes and shares, people jeopardize personal safety as well as of the other motorists on the road. Besides that, their actions set a dangerous precedent for viewers who may be inclined to replicate these stupid ‘stunts’ without understanding the real risks involved.
In a recent such matter, a video of a youngster has gone viral on media in which he is seen attempting push-ups on a driverless, moving Hyundai Creta. Yes! You read that absolutely right! A driverless, moving Hyundai Creta!
As seen in the video, the man gets out of the moving car, which he himself was driving and doesn’t stop here as this move wasn’t foolish enough. He then removes his t-shirt, and climbs on top of the moving SUV using the boot lid as a ladder to achieve heights of foolishness while breaking traffic rules and becoming a safety hazard.

He then proceeds to lie down and start doing push-ups. Later, towards the end of the video, when he’s done with his rooftop fitness antics, he is seen flexing his muscles – not to mention, yet again on the moving, driverless SUV.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many people calling the man’s actions “foolish” and “irresponsible.” Some people have also questioned the role of the SUV’s owner, who is said to have been sitting inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Such incidents highlight the importance of road safety and the need for stricter vigilance and penalties imposed on the ‘influencers’ performing reckless activities in pursuit of a little attention.
