“This has been made possible due to increased localisation, long-term freight contracts, streamlined logistics, supply chain improvement, and long-term key commodities cost rationalization,” said Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director, MG Motor India.
Additionally, the company has introduced the ZS EV Executive trim at Rs 18.98 lakh. While the ZS EV Executive variant maintains its mechanical setup, some features may have been removed to achieve its competitive price. MG hasn’t disclosed specific details regarding the equipment available on this variant.
Like most manufacturers in India, MG had also announced a price hike across its model range starting from January 2024, however, with these discounted sticker prices for select models, the company will aim to make its models further accessible to its customers.
